| These are created by
VOSA using test results provided by a VCA approved test
house. To have a model report produced a Japanese vehicle is
pit through a European Directive test. If the vehicle passes
the test it is documented by the test centre and passed on
to VOSA, which creates the Model Report. |

Services has tested over six thousand vehicles since 1999,
this level of experience positions RTS as one of the UK’s
most experienced preparation service providers for SVA
testing. |

| For
vehicles built before 1st Jan 1997 - the Japanese
Deregistration Document (if the vehicle designation and
classification numbers are present) will prove compliance
with all the regulations at which point the vehicle will
only require a standard SVA test. THERE IS ONLY ONE
EXCEPTION, namely four wheel drive vehicles with a
separate chassis. These vehicles are usually jeeps and are
required to prove compliance with the EU Directive for
Protective Steering 74/297 EEC. This can usually only be
done by using a Model Report. |

| For
vehicles built after 1st Jan 1997 - all vehicles will have
to prove compliance with the EU Noise Directive 92/97 EEC.
With the exception of some vehicles with more than six seats
will have to comply with the Emissions Directive 98/69 EC. |
| Goods
vehicles will have to comply with the EU Directives for
Noise, Emissions and Brakes. These can be proved by
providing a Model Report |

| For vehicles built after 30th Sept
1997- All
forward control vehicles will have to prove compliance with
the EU Protective Steering Directive 74/297 EEC (“Forward
Control” means a configuration in which more than half the
engine length is rearward of the foremost point of the
windshield base). This applies to most people carriers.
There are at the moment no Model Reports to cover these
vehicles. |

passenger vehicles will have to comply with the EU Anti
Theft Directive; this is done by producing a VSIB
Certificate of Installation. |
| Passenger
vehicles with more than six seats will have to comply with
the EU Emissions Directive |
